Mission and Goals

Our Vision: A Christian school in every city that breaks down cultural, economic, and academic barriers.

Our Mission: Build a school that provides a challenging, flexible, and supportive environment; instills a biblical worldview; reaches families of all incomes, races, ethnic groups, and backgrounds; and can be replicated.

Our Values: City School has a biblical foundation, as expressed by the Nicene Creed and lived out in ethical conduct. The school is under ecclesiastical authority, with a Christian faculty, administration, and board of directors. The school provides custom-tailored education that results in students who love to learn, learn to lead, and lead to serve. The school is accessible to students from most ability and income levels. City School parents and students are co-producers of a joy-filled education.

Goals for Our Graduates: City School graduates should be prepared to progress educationally in accord with their God-given ability. They should have improved their peer-equivalent scores from entrance to graduation. They should be able to reason well, write clearly, and speak confidently. They should have basic biblical literacy. They should be physically fit and computer-literate.

Those are quantifiable. Qualities harder to measure are also important. Graduates should have developed an attitude of humility and gratitude toward God. They should be industrious, creative, and hard-working. They should have good manners. They will have had the experience of helping others and should understand the importance of service and graciousness in the Christian life. They should have the ability to apply Scripture to every field of endeavor.
